OUR STORY

ANDES

ANDES come from the Andean Mountains that form a continuous highland along the western edge of South America. They represent not only the majesty of our region but also the abundance of natural resources and culture of our people.

MUNAY

Munay is a "Quecha" word and it means "Love" in its simplest and easiest language.

Reciprocal love is the true essence of the Andean Munay.

Who are we?

We are entrepreneurs from Ecuador who took the opportunity to build a bridge between Latin America and Hungary through this project.

We seek to make a social and economic impact to improve the well-being of indigenous families in Latin America.

We hope to import our culture, our traditions, and our roots through Latin American sustainable clothing and accessories handmade by the indigenous artisans.

We want our Latin American culture in your hands.

ECONOMIC IMPACT

43% of the indigenous population in Ecuador is in a situation of moderate poverty.

In the indigenous population, the percentage of malnourished children under 5 years of age is 40%.

Out of every five indigenous children under the age of 5, two have malnutrition problems.

IMPACT

ECONOMY

  • Increase income and guarantee fair wages for artisans without affecting their daily activities.

  • Provide secure and diverse sources of income for artisans.

  • Reduce poverty by offering artisans the possibility of realizing their aspirations and contributing to the development of the local economy.

  • With the support of the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries and the PRO-Ecuador office, fair payment to artisans is guaranteed.

SOCIO-CULTURAL

  • Increase the well-being of the family, allowing artisans to achieve a balance between work and domestic responsibilities.

  • Preserve culture by incorporating techniques, tools and artisan designs in each of our products.

  • We also encourage new generations to continue with the tradition. Use clothing and accessories as a meeting point between different cultures.
